A Maternity Nurse is an experienced nanny or midwife who has gained a Maternity Nursing Certificate and has extensive experience of working with newborns. Typically a Maternity Nurse will live with the family from when baby comes home for two to twelve weeks on a 24hr / 6 days per week basis. The Maternity Nurse will be there to support the new mum and help with establishing feeding and sleep routines. Plus giving mum that much need rest in the early weeks. A Maternity Nurse will help settle your baby into the family, encourage elder siblings to bond with the new arrival and to be on hand to offer support and advice. Once booked the maternity can also give guidance on what purchases are required for the new baby. We advise that you aim to book your Maternity Nurses at least five months in advance, as their services are very much in demand. A Maternity Nurse can also be booked for the odd day or night as required. We also offer a consultancy service, where general advice can be given on sleeping / feeding issues.
